Barbara A. Stahl

Barbara A. Stahl, 87, Luxemburg, passed away peacefully on Friday evening, February 25, 2022. Barbara was born in Algoma, Wisconsin on November 24, 1934, to the late Melvin (Sr.) and Emeline (Schmitz) Blahnik. Barbara’s parents passed away by the time she was in high school, after which time she lived with the John and Violet Bero family until she married. 

 

Barb graduated from Algoma High School in 1952, and married Ervin Stahl at St. Mary Church in Algoma on September 1, 1954. She was a homemaker and a dairy farmer until she and Ervin retired from farming and moved to the Village of Luxemburg. She enjoyed her flower gardens, baking her “fun” buns and Christmas cookies, Christmas decorating, and celebrating the holidays with family. Barb was a member of the Christian Mothers’ Society of St. Mary Parish in Luxemburg. 

 

Survivors include her four daughters, Lynn Seidl, Lori and Carl Juza, Kris and Gerald (Jack) Skaletski, and Ann and Russ Seidl; nine grandchildren, Kim and Ryan Meader, Adam Juza, Greg and Kristin Seidl, Ryan and Sarah Juza, Molly and Mike Josh, Matt Skaletski and fiance Kelsey McCole, Beth and Kurtis Larson, Lauren and Garrett Johnson, and Emily Skaletski; and eleven great-grandchildren, Liesl, Sutton, Adelyn, William, Leighton, Maeve, Spencer, Samantha, Rainer, Lucy, and great-grandson Josh due in April. Survivors include her siblings, Jackie Meister and Melvin (Jr.) and Janet Blahnik, as well as in-laws Gladys Ledvina, John and Joan Phillips, Dan and Lucy Stahl, George (Jr). and Francy Stahl, Mary Lou and Don Selner, and Ron and Lynne Stahl, along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

 

Barb was preceded in death by her husband Ervin, their son Dave, her parents and Ervin’s parents, George (Sr.) and Frances Stahl, son-in-law Joseph Seidl, and two brothers-in-law, Jim Meister and Tony Ledvina. 

 

 Friends and family may call between 9:00 and 10:45 am on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at St. Mary Church in Luxemburg.  Funeral 11:00 am Thursday at the church with Rev. Daniel Schuster officiating.  Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Luxemburg.
