Daniel Stone

Daniel Doelling Stone found peace on Saturday morning, March 12, 2022.  Dan was born March 20, 1980, in St. Charles, Missouri to Donald and Christine (Doelling) Stone.

Dan had fond memories of growing up in Missouri and spending time on his grandpa’s farm with his cousins, as well as family vacations spent at Lake of the Ozarks.  Dan had a passion for being on the water and was able to fulfill that while working at Skipper Bud’s as a marine mechanic.

Dan also had a passion for motorcycles and was a graduate of the American Motorcycle Institute of Daytona, Florida.  He enjoyed working with his hands as a hobby craftsman and found joy in spending time with his girlfriend and their two dogs.

Dan is survived by his parents, Donald and Christine Stone, New Berlin, WI; the love of his life and best friend, Iris Knigge, Sturgeon Bay; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins across the country; and Iris’ extended family.  Dan will be missed by family and friends, including those from his AA community where he found fellowship for many years.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2022, at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay with Rev. Peter Mannoja officiating.  Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home on Friday.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the “115 Club” (115 N. 5th Ave., Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235)  On-line condolences may be offered at forbesfuneralhome.com.
