Judith Ann Larson, 75 of Sturgeon Bay, passed away early April 20, 2022 at Door County Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer.
Judy was born April 26, 1946, in Sturgeon Bay, to Woodrow and Evelyn (Kroening) Wolzien. She graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School with the class of 1964 and went on to graduate from Bellin College of Nursing in Green Bay. After graduating she went on to work at Bellin Hospital for many years. After leaving Bellin Hospital, she went on to work at the Webster Ave. Clinic in Green Bay until she retired from nursing in 1995.
Judy married William Treptow in 1996 and moved to Madison where she worked at Physicians Plus as a nurse case manager. They then bought a home and retired to Sturgeon Bay. Bill passed away in 2012.
Judy was very active in community and church. She served on ADRC County Board for six years until diagnosed with cancer. While being active at the ADRC, she met Rodger Larson and they married November 5, 2016.
Her husband, Rodger survives her as do her sons, John Swedal and Michael Swedal of Green Bay; sister, Barbara (Gary) Duquaine of Sturgeon Bay; Rodger’s children, Penny (Bob) Kramer, Polly (Butch) Swagel, and Margaret Larson; grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Preceding her are her parents; paternal grandparents, Otto and Leona Wolzien; step-grandparent, Sigfred Isaacson; maternal grandparents, Charles and Rose Kroening; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 7, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church with Pastor Carl Schroeder officiating. Burial will be at Bayside Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be at the church on Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to the time of service at 12:00 p.m.
