Roseanne A. Cisler

Roseanne Annette Cisler, 76 Sturgeon Bay passed away at her home on April 24, 2022, surrounded by her family.  She was born November 6, 1945, to Benjamin and Jeanette (Lemieux) Stokel in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.  She was married to James Cisler on August 6, 1966, in Portsmouth New Hampshire.  They were happily married for 55 years.

Survivors include her husband, James; two children, Valerie Middlebrooks, Wilmington, Delaware; John Cisler, Bloomington, Minnesota; a grandson, Jakob Middlebrooks, Wilmington, Delaware; a brother-in-law, James Lanners, La Mesa, California; a nephew and godson Scott (Christina) Lanners, San Diego, California, and a niece Stacy (Kiran) Mandania, San Diego, California.

Roseanne was sad to leave her family and friends, but she has found peace in the arms of the Lord.

Roseanne grew up on a farm in New Hampshire, with extended family always around and many meals and raucous card games were enjoyed by all.  She was always a good student and a bold young woman and left home at 18 to move to Washington D.C. where she went to MacIntosh Business School and became an administrative assistant at the CIA.  In D.C. she met James at a party, married and moved with him to Wisconsin to start a family.Roseanne was always a dedicated daughter, wife and mother and devoted most of her time to taking care of her family, volunteering at school and going to every game and concert her children were involved in.  She was the “pizza lady” at many local grocery stores, giving out free samples. She was also the chief accountant of J.C. Electric.  She loved meeting and getting to know new people and she befriended everyone she met.  She also loved to be kind to others and help them in times of need, getting groceries, visiting, and sending many, many flowers, and cards to brighten people’s days.  She will be missed by all.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, Maplewood, Rev. Ryan Krueger officiating.  Friends may call at Forbes Funeral Home from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 2nd and then after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church until time of services.  On-line condolences may be offered at forbesfuneralhome.com.
