Sandra J. Wagner

Sandra Jean Wagner, age 73, of Sturgeon Bay, WI passed away passed at her home on May 1, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born January 26, 1949, to the late Merville Kratwell and Valeria (Spoerl) Zdroik in Milwaukee, WI.

Sandy was blessed with a loving family. She married John S. Wagner on September 27, 1969, at Holy Apostles Church in New Berlin, WI. They were happily married for 52 years. Sandy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. 

Sandy was blessed with 3 children: Christie (Kevin) Pichette, Todd (Leda) Wagner, Adam (Shannon) Wagner. She was also survived by 5 grandchildren: Michael (Jamie), Tyler and Kailtyn (Katiebug) Pichette,  Autumn Wagner, Parker Wagner. Two great grandchildren: Easton Wagner, Harper McGrath, 1 aunt Diana (Tom) Ploetz and her loving dog Kibbles. 

Sandy is survived by: 1 sister, Kathy Teeney and one brother Billy (Sandy) Zdroik. 

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents Merville Kratwell, Valeria Zdroik and Step-father Herb Zdroik, parents-in-law John and Esther Wagner, 1 brother, Jimmy (Kathy) Zdroik, 1 brother-in-law Mike Teeney, aunts Audrey (Dale) Viergutz, Geraldine (Bob) Ronco and Delores Spoerl and recently her best friend Geri Wipperfurth.

Sandy was an avid sports fan. She loved the Packers, Brewers, Bucks & Badgers and never missed scores from every game all they way through the end. She gave many years of her time to the Girl Scouts of America in Milwaukee area sitting on the council, a Leader to Troop #1179 and always our Cookie Mom. 

A memorial to honor Sandy's life will be held privately with immediate family in Sturgeon Bay at a later date. On-line condolences may be offered by emailing John Wagner at swimmer54235@yahoo.com. Donations can be made to Door CANcer, Inc.in the name of Sandy Wagner.

A big Thank you to the wonderful staff at Unity Hospice to help honor her last wishes.
