Ruth M. Younk, 92, Rio Creek, passed away May 5, 2022 at the Jack and
Engrid Meng Hospice Center in DePere. She was born February 8, 1930,
to the late Fred and Esther (Chapek) Mikle. On July 24, 1949, she married
Arlan Younk in Algoma, he preceded her in death on September 4, 1999.
Ruth enjoyed quilting, traveling, reading, gardening, and her flowers.
She is survived by her children, Diane (Patrick) Olson of Sturgeon Bay, and
Jerry (Vicky) Younk of Bemidji, MN; her step-grandchildren; brother Frank
(Carol) Mikle; sister Caroline Nichols; as well as by nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Arlan; brother Don (Ruby)
Mikle; sister Jeanne (Ernest) Bero; and sister-in-law Mary Jo Mikle.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Rankin from 1:00-2:00 pm. Funeral service will take place at 2:00 pm with Dr. Rev. Christopher Jackson officiating.
