John "Jack" P. Schiltz

John “Jack” P. Schiltz, 84 of Kewaunee, Wisconsin, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022, surrounded by his loving family, at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay.

 

He was born on October 25, 1937, in Forestville, to the late John A. and Erma (Homeyer) Schiltz. 

 

On November 8, 1958, Jack married Judy L. Zirbel at St. Mary of the Snow Church in Maplewood.

 

 His faith was very important to him and he was a longtime member of Holy Rosary Parish in Kewaunee, where he was actively involved in church activities and served as an usher.  Jack served his country in the United States Army during the years of 1958 to 1964.

 

He was employed with Wisconsin Public Service Co. for more than thirty years, retiring in 1999.

 

Jack had many interests which included spending time with family and friends, fishing, golfing, camping, traveling. He also loved to eat and savored Judy’s cooking.

 

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Judy, and their children, Barbara (David) Bouchard, Wauwatosa; Daniel (Mary) Schiltz, Luxemburg; Jill (Kevin) Andre, Kewaunee; Lori Schiltz, Wauwatosa; nine grandchildren, Aimee Bouchard, Ryan Bouchard, Emily Schiltz, Cassie Schiltz, Ashley (Barth) Jeanquart, Erin Andre, Caleb (Ashley) Andre, Joshua Schiltz, Nicholas Schiltz; six great grandchildren, Elmer, Ihla, Evelynne, Hattie, Arlo and Asher; three sisters, Betty (Vernon) Kinnard, Casco; Dorothy Belleau, Kewaunee; Jean Thayse, Casco; nieces and nephews.

 

Jack was preceded in death and has been reunited with his son Michael, and two brothers in law, Allen Thayse and Thomas Belleau.

 

As per Jack’s wishes, a private visitation and funeral will be held.
