Theodore Lionelle Morrison, 87, formerly of Sturgeon Bay, passed away in Maryville, TN on August 6, 2022. He was born June 17, 1935 in Freeport, IL to Howard and Annis (Carmeliprinty) Morrison. On December 20, 1954 he married Ruth Muckley in Virginia. She preceded him in death on March 25, 2014.
Ted served his country in the United States Navy from 1955 to 1959. After marrying Ruth, they raised their family in Sanwich, IL. Ted retired from Caterpillar in Aurora, IL and then established a business in Wisconsin, Amanda Cabinets and Furniture. He and Ruth relocated to Door County in 1988. Ted was a past member of the Sturgeon Bay Lions Club.
He is survived by two children, Ted Morrison, Jr. of Sturgeon Bay and Ruth (Scott) Nelson of Maryville, TN; four grandchildren: Amanda Nelson of Maryville, TN, Scottie (Melissa) Nelson, of Maryville, TN, Mallory (William) Seymour of St. Louis MO, and Megan (Jim) Hartwig of Green Bay, WI; three great-grandchildren: Kaytlyn Evans, Luke and Harper Nelson.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm on Friday, August 12, 2022, at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay. Friends may call on Thursday from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at the funeral home and on Friday morning from 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will be in Hainesville Cemetery.
