Milton F. Delwiche

Milton F. Delwiche, 84, Luxemburg, was called to Heaven on Friday morning, August 26, 2022, at home surrounded by his family. 

 

He was born March 5, 1938, in Champion to the late Henry J. and Mabel M. (Abts) Delwiche.

 

On October 24, 1959, Milton married Marlene F. Vandertie at St. Francis Du Paul Church in Duval.

 

As a graduate of Brussels High School, he completed a degree in teaching at the University of Oshkosh, placing him at Southern Door School for forty-two plus years, retiring in 2001.

 

 His enjoyments included, gardening, playing cards, grocery shopping and keeping his Belgian Heritage strong by often speaking the language.

 

 

Survivors include his loving wife of nearly 63 years, Marlene and their four children, Chris (Lori) Delwiche, Kelly (Ed) Delwiche, Connie (Jim) Haase, Cory (Lisa) Delwiche; eleven grandchildren, Kyle (Chelsea), Ryan, Andrea, Joel and Kevin Delwiche, Ashley McMahon, Chelsea (Donny) Brien, Corina (Kevin) Dantoin, Justin (Colleen), Mitchel (Megan) Delwiche and Carynn (Cody) Frisque; twelve great grandchildren, Alana, Dawson, Gabrielle, Gavin, Griffin, Pryce, Peyton, Paisley, Pierce, Roger, Grace and Landon; two godchildren, Galen DeJardin and Dale LaLuzerne; special friends, Margie and Clifford Abts, Agatha and Don Pigeon, Karen and Marvin Mercier and Judy Kerscher.

 

Milton was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Mabel Delwiche; his mother in law and father in law, Ida and Gilbert Vandertie.

 

 

Friends may call 3:00 to 7:00 pm at St. Mary Church, Luxemburg, on Tuesday, August 30, 2022. 

 

Closing vigil service at 7:00 pm with Deacon Bob Miller. 

 

Visitation will continue between 9:00 and 10:45 am on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at St. Mary Church, Luxemburg. 

 

Funeral 11:00 am Wednesday at the church with Rev. Daniel Schuster officiating. 

 

Entombment in the Shrine of The Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
