Rita M. LeGreve

Rita M. LeGreve, 93, Luxemburg, went peacefully to be with the Lord, Thursday evening, August 25, 2022. She was born to Michael Joseph and Laura Mary (DeGrand) Mertens on June 16, 1929, in Mt Piliar, WI.

She married Wallace LeGreve July 14, 1951, at St Hubert Church in Sugarbush WI .

 

Rita is preceded in death by her spouse Wallace J. LeGreve, who passed May 11, 2004, and daughter Barbara LeGreve , July 10th, 2022. Parents Michael J. and Laura M. Mertens.

Brothers: Ervin Mertens, Richard (Evelyn) Mertens,

Sisters: Laverne (Quinten) Roberts, Deloris (Mervin) LaCrosse, MaryAnn (Donald) DeBruin, Richard Kaye.

 

She is survived by four daughters: Belinda LeGreve, Green Bay; Benita (Richard) Pedersen, DePere; Brenda (Timothy) Duerst, Algoma; Betty LeGreve, Milwaukee; eleven grandchildren; six adopted grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren.  Rita is also survived by four siblings, Marcella Kaye, Green Bay; Rosella (Ronald) Fayas, Green Bay; Marvin (Charlette) Mertens, Green Bay; Gene (Debbie) Mertens, Sugarbush.

 

Rita enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and play cards, camping, crocheting, square dancing, senior meal sites, helping at food banks, and putting puzzles together.

 

Friends may call at the Shrine of The Good Shepherd Mausoleum, Green Bay, between 9:00 and 10:45 am on Friday, September 2, 2022.  Funeral service 11:00 am with entombment to follow.
