Jane F. McIntosh

Jane Frances McIntosh, 75, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on October 1, 2022, at Anna’s Healthcare in Sturgeon Bay after a nine-year courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease and dementia.  She was born May 8, 1947, in Minneapolis, MN, to Charles and Palma (Berkley) Kneeland.  On November 26, 1966, she married Dennis D. McIntosh in Minneapolis, MN.

 

Jane grew up in St. Paul and later graduated from Willow Brook High School in Villa Park, IL, where she met her husband.  She and Dennis moved to Sturgeon Bay in 1981. After raising their children, Jane worked for North Shore Bank and later for Bay Lake Bank’s Conference Center, where she made numerous friends and acquaintances.

In her retirement, Jane enjoyed going to the YMCA and volunteering at the humane society.  She especially loved the time she spent with her granddaughter Lauren. Jane was also an avid reader and spent a lot of time doing genealogy research on the Kneeland family’s history.

 

Survivors include her husband; one son Scott (Regina) McIntosh, Green Bay; one daughter Jennifer (Jonathan) Meacham, Sturgeon Bay; one granddaughter Lauren Meacham, Sturgeon Bay; two brothers, James (Georgia) Kneeland, De Pere; Michael (Constance) Kneeland, Inver Grove Heights, MN; in-laws, Kelly Cummings, Lyndon, IL, Timothy McIntosh, Glen Ellyn, IL, Charles (Sue) McIntosh, Lombard, IL; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law Wesley Cummings and sister-in-law Kathleen Kneeland.

 

A memorial service will be conducted at the Forbes Funeral Home at 11:00 am on Friday, Oct. 7, 2022. Friends may call at the Forbes Funeral Home on Thursday, Oct. 6, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm and on Friday morning from 10:00 am until the time of service. On-line condolences may be offered at forbesfuneralhome.com  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Door County Human Society.
