Eleanor Bernadette Draize, 89, Casco, passed away on October 21, 2022, at Aurora Bay Care Hospital. She was born on January 19, 1933, to the late Michael and Mary (Dordzen) Perinovic. In 1951 at the age of 18 Eleanor married Laurence Draize. They were married until his death in 1995. Throughout her life she worked at Briggs and Stratton Engines, but her enjoyment was gardening, baking, cooking, church, knitting, quilting, and canning.
Eleanor is survived by her son Michael Draize; grandchildren, Amber (Aaron) Zetwick, Andrea Draize, David Draize, Christina (Jacob DeGayner) Draize; great-grandchild, Lumen DeGayner; brother, David Perinovic; and sister, Mary Ann Blanchard. She was preceded in death by her husband Laurence; son Larry Draize; grandson, Daniel; parents, Michael and Mary Perinovic; brothers, Steve Perinovic, Mike Perinovic, Ed Perinovic; sister, Dorothy Dehner, and Evelyn Granius-Lindley.
Visitation will be held at St. Hubert’s Catholic Church – Rosiere from 10-11 am on Monday October 24, 2022. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 with Fr. Edward Looney officiating.
