Marlene R. Schrank, 69, of Manitowoc, passed away at her home on November 13, 2022. She was born June 8, 1953, in Sturgeon Bay to Joseph and Lucille (Weldon) Goetz. Marlene grew up in Green Bay and graduated from St. Joseph Academy.
For most of her life, Marlene worked for Anheuser Busch Brewery in Manitowoc. For a number of years, she also co-owned and operated Goetz’s Resort in Little Sturgeon. She loved spending time at her home in Little Sturgeon. She especially enjoyed fishing, kayaking, swimming, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include two children, Jamie Schrank, Manitowoc; Cassie (Shawn) Snyder, Manitowoc; six grandchildren, Dezirae, Deven, E.J., Ryder, Isaac, and Carter; a sister, Mary Meissner (special friend Renn Braun) Little Sturgeon; nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Tom and Paul Goetz; nephew Marshall Meissner.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 18, 2022, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Sturgeon Bay with Rev. Anthony Birdsall officiating. Burial will be in Stevenson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Friday. Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay is assisting the family.
