Paul S. Jacobson, 88, of Sturgeon Bay, went off on his journey to Heaven on Jan. 6, 2023. He was born Oct. 27, 1934, in Mason City, Iowa to George and Irene (Sexton) Harmon. On Dec. 31, 1953, he married Beth M. Blomiley in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.
Paul was a middle school teacher for Sevastopol Schools for 44 years. He played organ and piano at Bay View Lutheran Church for 25 years and was also an accompanist for numerous student recitals while he taught at Sevastopol.
Paul will be remembered for his strong faith, his musical abilities, and as a teacher whose classroom was always filled with laughter.
He is survived by his wife, 4 children, Jeff (Tammy) of Sturgeon Bay; James (Anne) of Sturgeon Bay; Jill Jacobson of St. Louis, MO; and Judy (Roger) LaViolette of Forestville; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brother, Chuck (Ginny) Harmon, of Springfield, IL; and sister, Joy Campbell of Green Bay.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Jerrold.
A visitation is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 13, 2023, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 3:00 pm with Pastor Tim Kornowski officiating. Burial will be in Bayside Cemetery.
