Adrian (Ace) Schmidt Jr.

Adrian (Ace) Schmidt Jr., 81, formerly of Maplewood, passed away, Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Woodside Manor in Green Bay with family by his side.  He was born December  5,1941, in Sturgeon Bay.

Ace graduated from the Algoma High School in 1959.

He married Kay Blahnik August 25, 1962.   Kay preceded him in death on October 30, 2022.

Ace's true passion in life was farming.  He also enjoyed spending time with all of his grandchildren, meeting his friends at local restaurants for breakfast, and watching sports on TV, especially the Milwaukee Brewers.

Ace is survived by his two children Debbie (Terry) Kleiman, and Randy (Dena) Schmidt; five grandchildren Derek (Kayla) Schopf, Ashtyn Feld (fianc'ee Kevin), Tanner (Lauren) Schmidt, Kahner (Joe) Domke and Devin Schmidt; step grandchildren Spencer (Elisabeth) Kleiman and Marie Kleiman; nine great grandchildren; one sister Annette (Paul) Baudhuin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Kay, two sisters and one brother-in-law Marion (Syl) Metzner and Audrey Schmidt.

The public is invited to a memorial gathering on Friday, March 10, 2023 at the Schinderle Funeral Home, Algoma,  from 10:00 AM until the time of services at 1:00 PM with Pastor Alex Blahnik officiating.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials may be made out to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Woodside Manor and Promedia Hospice for all the care and kindness given to Ace and his family during his stay there.
