Holly Ann (Halada) Schmidt

Holly Ann (Halada) Schmidt, Green Bay, passed away Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023, after a very short battle with cancer.  She was born July 17, 1952, in Algoma, to Joe and Dorothy (Mura) Halada.
Holly grew up on the Halada family farm in Kodan.  Her happiest times were spent playing, doing chores and lots of shenanigans with her cousins.
She attended the rural Kodan Grade School and graduated from Algoma High School in 1970.
Holly married Marc Schmidt August 31, 1974, and lived in Ashwaubenon since that time.
Holly worked the last 29 years for Oneida Nation and before that for Dartmouth and Lady Dartmouth clothing company.
Holly’s favorite things were “the sun, moon and stars”, orange dahlias and snow owls.
Survivors include her husband Marc, siblings: Joe (Mary), Sturgeon Bay, Beth (Mike),  Algoma, Andy (Denise),  Madison, sister-in-law Sandy, Ladysmith, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by parents Joe and Dorothy, oldest brother Mark, her in laws Harold and Mildred Schmidt, brother-in-law Stan Schmidt and sister-in-law Cheryl.  Also preceded in death by grandparents, several aunts, uncles, cousins.
A loyal, sometimes boisterous fan of Packers, Brewers, and Badgers.
She was very proud of all her nieces and nephews.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials may be made out the American Cancer Society or Unity Hospice.
Family and friends may gather at the Schinderle Funeral Home, Algoma, Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023, from 10:00 AM until the time of services at 12:00 PM with Father Andrew Kurz officiating.  Burial to follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
