Robert Wayne Blasier

Robert Wayne Blasier, 89, Algoma, passed away, Friday, May 24, 2024, at Sturgeon Bay Health Services.  He was born December 18, 1934, in Sturgeon Bay to the late Elmer and Grace (Marth) Blasier.


Robert graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School and was on the Sturgeon Bay tumbling team for four years. He began his working career with Pleck's Dairy and later worked for Morning Glory Dairy.  


Robert married LouAnn Pagels in Sturgeon Bay, November 27, 1954.
In 1969 they moved to Algoma where they owned and operated Bob's Standard Oil Service Station. Bob later worked for the City of Algoma as manager of the Waste Water Treatment Plant for many years.


Bob enjoyed customizing and restoring old cars and trucks during his high school days.  He restored 38 cars and trucks over the years.  He was also an avid skier, motorcycle riding, snowmobiling and going camping.  He was known for building the biggest campfires.  


Bob is survived by his wife LouAnn, six children, Cathy (Leon) Vogel, Donald (Vicki) Blasier, Terry (Debbie) Blasier, Todd Blasier, Dean (Christi) Blasier and Dawn (Tom) Stoller; 18 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and one great- great grandchild; two brothers Roger Blasier, Dale (Kathy) Blasier and sister Jayne Wilke; many nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons Michael and Chris.
Visitation for Bob will be on Thursday, May 30, 2024 from 4 PM until 7 PM at the Schinderle Funeral Home, Algoma and continuing on Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church from 9 AM until the time of services at 11 AM with Rev John Moll and Rev. Joel McKenney officiating.  Burial at a later date at the Evergreen Cemetery.
