Bonnie Zettle

Bonita “Bonnie” Jean Zettle, 82, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025. Born on October 4, 1942, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, to the late John and Evelyn (Stone) Pagenkopf, Bonnie touched the lives of many with her vibrant spirit. Bonnie was a beloved mother to her sons, Michael and John, and a cherished friend to those who knew her. She worked as a clerk in the retail industry and was known for her friendly smile and genuine kindness. A true lover of life, Bonnie had a passion for flowers, adored her dogs, Spot and Fritz, and found joy in the company of horses. She was particularly fond of Elvis Presley, often filling her home with his timeless tunes, and could often be found lost in her favorite westerns and soap operas—especially those delightful shows that blended the two together. A true lover of southwest décor, Bonnie brought life to her home with vibrant touches of turquoise, and she took great pride in decorating for every season and holiday. Each outdoor decoration she lovingly displayed was a reflection of her cheerful personality. Bonnie is survived by her son, John (Page) Zettle; son-in-law, John Maisonneuve; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; as well as by her in-laws, Pat (Dave) Walsh, Roger (Dorothy) DeGuelle, Maynard (Theresa) DeGuelle, and Ann (Dave) Curtis. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Everard, her long-time companion of 41 years, Don DeGuelle, parents, John and Evelyn Pagenkopf; brother, Paul Pagenkopf; and daughter-in-law, Michelle Maisonneuve. We will be celebrating the life of Bonnie with visitation on Monday, April 28, 2025, from 9-11 am at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum, 2770 Bay Settlement Rd, Green Bay, WI 54311. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 am with Rev. Steve Fewell officiating. Entombment will follow the service. Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services – Casco is assisting the family and online condolence messages may be shared at KinnardFCS.com. Special thanks to the Unity Hospice nurses, Miranda and Ashley, Unity Hospice Chaplain Nathan for all the care and support. And thank you to John Zettle, Maynard and Theresa DeGuelle for providing loving care to Bonnie.
