CarolJean Antholt
CarolJean Antholt was met at the pearly gates of heaven by her husband Ron in the early hours of Monday, October 6th, 2025, 27 days after his passing. She will be missed by all who loved her. Carol was born on July 5, 1944, to Clarence and Cebell (Krause) Weckler. She was one of twelve children. Carol was a homemaker for most of her life, with her only job being at Fisherman's Table. Carol had a special spark in the kitchen. Her recipes forever warmed our hearts, even when she'd forget to share a secret ingredient. Carol had a love for little red mustangs and the speed she could reach. Racing her son's friends on the highway was always a memory that brought a smile to her face. You could often find Carol and Ron sneaking away to the casino or gambling for nickels with the family. She taught all her grandchildren how to play poker at a young age. She also loved the game of Aggravation, which she played weekly with her granddaughter, Kristalyn, until her final days. Every year, Carol and Ron would escape the blustery Wisconsin winters and find themselves in the sunny state of Florida. Many times, they would take their grandchildren along for the ride, enjoying sun-warmed ham and cheese sandwiches and getting various tattoos. Her later years were blessed by the fantastic staff at the SNF. She had ears that could hear a pin drop and often shared gossip with the staff, including nurses, food service personnel, cleaners, and other residents. She was very proud that the SNF kitchen had used several of her recipes. Between bingo, nickels, and the arts & crafts, she stayed busy and made many new friends. Carol is survived by her son, Ronald 'Nuts' Antholt, and daughter Peggy (Dale) DeGrave, her grandchildren, Dixie, Michael, Wendy, Kristalyn, Brittany, Willy, Dylan, Brett, and 17 great-grandchildren, along with her brother, Sherwood (Ruth) Weckler, and many nieces and nephews. Carol was met in Heaven by her husband, parents, and ten siblings. Funeral services will be 11:30 am Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025, at Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service. A special thank you to the staff at the SNF for their love and support over the last three years, as well as their comfort and compassion till the very end.
