Karrie Kay (Koepsel) Oram

Karrie Kay (Koepsel) Oram, 67, of the Town of Gibraltar, passed away in the comfort of her daughter Kami's home on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 with family at her side.

She was born November 9, 1958 in Sturgeon Bay, the daughter of Eldred August Koepsel and Mildred Marie (Kemp) Koepsel. Karrie attended Liberty Grove School and Christ Ev. Lutheran Church, both in the Town of Liberty Grove. She graduated from Gibraltar High School in Fish Creek with the class of 1976.

Karrie initially ran her parents' store, Koepsel's Kountry Kitchen (located in Sister Bay) until it was sold in 1997. In April 1998, Karrie and Kevin took over the original Koepsel's Farm Market located on State Highway 57, just south of Pioneer Road in the Town of Liberty Grove, and they ran the business together until her health prevented her from doing so. Along with Kevin, her daughter, Karina is now running the farm market. Karrie was one of the familiar family faces at Koepsel's. She loved collecting primitive antiques and Redwing stoneware.

Karrie's love will live on in the hearts of her husband, Kevin, with whom she shared nearly 49 years of marriage; daughters, Karina Oram and Kami (Jeremy Zeman) Oram-Zeman, both of the Town of Gibraltar; grandchildren, Bailey and Darian Harris; great-grandson, Hudson; siblings, Suzanne (Gerald "Jerry") Daubner of Fish Creek, WI and Kissimmee, FL, Sally Zak of Baileys Harbor, Donald (Donna) Koepsel of the Town of Liberty Grove, Dennis (Melissa) Koepsel of Ephraim; siblings-in-law, Jan (Carol) Oram of the Town of Jacksonport, Kathy Schurman of Richland, MO, and Michael "Mickey" (Denise) Oram of Adams, TN; nieces and nephews; other relatives; and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; mother-in-law, Marjorie (Wallace "Wally" Oram; Carl Rabach) Rabach; brother-in-law, Willard Zak; and other relatives.

Karrie's life will be honored during visitation from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026 at Huehns Funeral Home, 1414 Michigan Street, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235. There will be no memorial service concluding the visitation at the funeral home. Karrie will be laid to rest in the Baileys Harbor Town Cemetery with a private committal for family.

Memorials may be given in Karrie's name for Wisconsin Humane Society-Door County Campus (3475 Park Drive, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235; 920-746-1111) or your local humane society.
