Peter Lindsay
Peter Lindsay, of Baileys Harbor, passed away at home on April 19, 2026, at the age of 75. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on June 16, 1950. His parents were the late David and Jacquie (Weyenberg) Lindsay. Peter is survived by his siblings Mike (Ruth) Lindsay, Jim (Cindy) Lindsay, and Erin (Scott) Leedom, as well as other relatives and many, many cherished long-time friends. Peter graduated from Whitefish Bay High School where he participated in football, basketball, and track. He attended college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, earning a bachelor’s degree in Sociology. Upon graduation, Peter made his home in Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin. He enjoyed working in the service industry at numerous restaurants in Door County. Peter loved living in Door County where he made wonderful friendships, enjoyed golfing at Maxwelton Braes, and participated for years on both the local bowling and baseball teams. His passion was fishing. Peter spent some of his favorite days fishing with his dear, lifelong group of friends each summer. Peter was an avid reader and his personal book collection rivals that of many small-town local libraries. He was especially interested in history, social issues, and cooking. Peter loved music. He performed with friends at his graduation and continued to collect and enjoy music throughout his life. Peter’s hallmark was his incredible, witty, sense of humor. Until his last moments, Peter shared his love of music, and his endearing sense of humor with those he held dear. A celebration of life will be held later. Forbes Funeral Home is serving the family.
