John "Jack" Newell Louthain, 75, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at Door County Medical Center with family by his side.
He was born August 30, 1950 in Lancaster, WI to the late Elijah Leander and Mary Elizabeth (Degenhardt) Louthain. Jack went to college at UW-Platteville and obtained an accounting/finance degree, which he used to work as a Controller with International Paper for 30 years before moving to Green Bay and assuming the role of Vice President of Compensation for Associated Bank.
Jack met the love of his life, Leslie Ann Cardey, and married May 1, 1971 in Potosi, WI. They were blessed with three sons and eight grandchildren in their 55 years of marriage. Jack was an active member of the Sturgeon Bay Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
He is survived by his wife; his sons, Jesse (Jessica) Louthain of Algoma, Travis (Natalie) Louthain of Ogden, UT, and Andrew (Alli) Louthain of Dallas, TX; two brothers, Jerry (Donna) Louthain of Olympia, WA, and George (Susie) Louthain of Wautoma, WI; two sisters, Joan Ayer of Indianapolis, IN, and Judy (Jack) Davis of Tomahawk, WI. Preceding him in death were his parents; and brother-in-law, Gordon Ayer.
Private family services will be held and burial will be at Van Buren Cemetery near Potosi, WI.
