Amanda E. Charles, 44, Farwell, MI., formerly of Algoma, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2026, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on May 13, 1982, in Pontiac, MI to John M. Sheck Jr. and Sandy M. Norman. Amanda attended Sturgeon Bay school and graduated from Algoma High School in 2010. She received her Business Degree in 2013. She was going for her Master Gardener Degree, but with her illness she couldn't continue. Amanda's love was training horses for many years. She married Matthew Charles on August 17, 2019, in Alpena, Michigan. Amanda enjoyed riding horses and training them, gardening which includes flowers, vegetables and herbs, weaving on her loom, always learning new things, family time with her daughter Elana and new granddaughter Amber, playing with her fur babies Mocha and Maple, riding four wheelers and raising chickens. Amanda is survived by her husband Matt, daughter Elana (Chris) Blackstone, granddaughter Amber, parents John (Tina) Sheck, step sister Anna Sheck, step niece Lillie, step brother Vance Morgan, step dad Mark (Wendy) Zastrow, half-brother Cruz, half-sister Samantha, nephew Wyatt, niece Sonja, Aunt Brenda Bertrand, cousin Jesse McCoy, special friends Chelsea, Wendy, Mike, Terese and Bob. She was preceded in death by her mom Sandy, grandparents Erla (Marvin) Case, stepfather Craig Cochenet and sister Amy Sheck. Visitation for Amanda will be Sunday, May 31st, at the Schinderle Funeral Home, Algoma, WI from 4:00 PM until the time of services at 7:00 PM. Burial will take place Monday, June 1st at the Town of Claybanks Cemetery on County Road U, Sturgeon Bay, WI at 10:00 AM.
