Charlotte Ione Lackie-Rock, 97, of Sturgeon Bay, WI passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at Autumn Fields Senior Living near Dyckesville, WI.
She was born May 14, 1929 in Pine Island, MN, the daughter of Fred “Fritz” Marion Wiese and Rose Margarita (Perkins) Weis. Charlotte’s family moved to Ontonagon, MI in 1945, and Charlotte graduated from Ontonagon High School with the class of 1946. A few months later, she was united in marriage to Robert Raymond Lackie on September 14, 1946 at a local church in Ontonagon. They were blessed with two sons, Robert and Gary. Charlotte worked as a teller for Citizens State Bank in Ontonagon for over 20 years.
Her primary care was devoted to raising her family at home. Charlotte and Bob eventually moved to Sturgeon Bay, WI in 1989. They shared over 52 years of marriage. Bob died January 2, 1999. Charlotte eventually moved back to Pequaming, MI after marrying her second husband, Ed Rock, but returned to Door County in 2019 after his death where her son Robert and his family were living. She was a prolific crafter, known for knitting, sewing, pottery, painting, and card making.
Charlotte will be missed by her son, Bob (Sally Zimmer) Lackie of the Town of Sevastopol, WI and Gary (Jeane) Lackie of the Village of Bellevue, WI; grandchildren, Brian (Donna) Lackie, Cynthia (Troy) Hasenjager, and Amanda Baird, and Nathan Lackie and Matthew Lackie; great-grandchildren, MaKenzye (Sam Belanger) Hasenjager and Chase Hasenjager, Cole Lackie, and Archer Baird and Millicent Baird; one great-great-grandson, Brooks Belanger; brother, Robert Weis of the Philippines; and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; daughter-in-law, Cheryl “Mammer” Lackie; sister, Shirley (John) Roehm; and other relatives.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 1, 2026 at Huehns Funeral Home, 1414 Michigan Street, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235.
There will be no funeral service concluding the visitation at the funeral home. Charlotte will be laid to rest in Bayside Cemetery in the Town of Sevastopol, WI, beside her first husband, Robert.
