Alice M. Gillis

Alice M. Gillis, 84, Casco, passed away Friday, July 24, 2026, with her family by her side. She was born on May 1, 1942, to the late Stanley and Mary (Muchowsky) Glinski. She was a graduate of Luxemburg High School. Alice married Ronald Gillis on April 27, 1963, at Ss. Cyril and Methodius, Eaton. Throughout the years, Alice worked at Bellin Hospital, P & J’s Café, and Dairyland Veterinary Service. She enjoyed snowmobiling, bowling, gardening, and spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking. Above everything else, she loved spending time with her family. Alice was known as a person who was always there and caring for everyone. Alice was very involved in her parish and loved her faith. Alice is survived by her husband Ron; daughters, Kim (Terry) Spang, and Melissa (Zach) Libal; her grandchildren, Cole Gregorich, Hope (Rick) Maki, Kennedy (Jake) Brummond, and Autumn Libal (special friend Gabe Vanderkinter); great grandchildren, Benjamin, Noah, Lily, Mallorie, Violet, and one on the way; her brother Jim (JoAnn) Glinski; sisters-in-law, Sharon Swagel, and Mary Gillis; also survived by nieces and nephews. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Mary; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Ethel Gillis; brothers-in-law, Alvin Swagel, Darrell (Evelyn) Gillis, and Leon “Red” (Marie) Gillis. A visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services – Casco. Visitation will continue Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church, Casco, with Rev. Daniel Schuster officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family. Online condolences can be shared at KinnardFCS.com.
