Carol Mae Kostichka

Carol Mae (Clark) Kostichka, 79, Algoma, passed away at home with her family by her side. Carol was born January 1, 1947, to Fred and Rita (Frisque) Clark in Sturgeon Bay. As a young girl the family moved to Algoma. Carol graduated from Algoma High School in 1965. Carol went on to school for her license as a beautician, which she held for 50 years. She worked her whole career at Flora Lee Beauty Shop in Algoma. Carol married Dennis Kostichka at St. Mary Catholic Church July 15, 1967. Carol and Dennis have been members of St. Mary Parish for many years. She enjoyed knitting, cooking, baking (including her Monster cookies, chocolate chocolate chip zucchini muffins) and her chili. She also loved going to the casinos, watching the Milwaukee Brewers, game shows and cooking shows on TV. She is survived by her husband Dennis, three children Angie (Todd) Hoffmann, Brian Kostichka (fiancé Penny), and Erica Kostichka; four grandchildren Matthew Hoffmann (fiancé Alexis), Brooklyn Hoffmann (Mitchell), Brittany Kostichka and Zachary Kostichka (Cassidy); one brother Jim (Twila) Clark and one sister Karen (Russell) Delebreau; two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law Marilyn Gauger and Cindy (Larry) Jacobs and one brother-in-law and sister-in-law Charles (Marge) Kostichka; many nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Rita Clark, father and mother-in-law Charles and Helen Kostichka, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Doug (Mary) Kostichka, John (Rita) Kostichka and Eugene Gauger. Family and friends may call at St. Mary Catholic Church, Wednesday, September 23, 2026, from 9:00 AM until the Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM with Father Timothy Machila officiating. Private entombment at a later date at St. Mary Cemetery. The Schinderle Funeral Home, Algoma, was entrusted with the arrangements for Carol and her family.
