Deborah "Debby" Ann Zahn, 75, Algoma, is our sparkling Angel, she passed away Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026, at Amethyst Health.
She was born July 3, 1951, in Sturgeon Bay to Donald and Doris (Hunsader) Ohlrogge. Debby graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School and then got her associates degree from NWTC in accounting. She started working at First National Bank in Sturgeon Bay as a teller and moving her way up to a controller at the bank. After leaving the bank Debby became an insurance agent. She sold all types of insurance. She retired at the age of 55.
Debby married Arnie Zahn in Sturgeon Bay, November 7, 1970. Debby and Arnie enjoyed traveling. They traveled to every state in the United States, except two. She enjoyed her precious time with her family and friends, traveling, camping, making sure there was a pool or beach nearby, going to the casinos, playing cards and cribbage. She also enjoyed time with her girls shopping, camping and making Christmas cookies. She was a member of St. Mary Church, the Rosary Society and the Coachman Club.
She is survived by her husband Arnie, daughter Michele Slaby, two granddaughters Shauna and Sierra; one brother Dennis (Jean) Ohlrogge; and nephew and Godson Dane Ohlrogge Debby was preceded in death by her parents and son Mark.
There will be a visitation for Debby at the Schinderle Funeral Home, Algoma on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, from 4:00 PM until the time of services at 6:00 PM with Ken Kinstetter officiating. Family and friends are invited for the burial Wednesday, September 30, 10:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. Please wear red, white and blue in honor of Debby.
