Gary Lee Eicher, 74, of Green Bay, formerly of Door County, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at his residence in Green Bay. He was born January 14, 1952 in Madison, WI, the son of Ernest and Pearl (Wendt) Eicher. The family moved to the Maplewood area where Gary attended and graduated from Southern Door High School. Gary was a manager of Eicher Feed and Grain in Institute and would later take over ownership from his father, renaming the business Gary's Feed Center. After closing the Feed Center, he worked for DC Refuse before becoming an over-the-road truck driver, a job he loved. He often said he "got paid to see the country". Gary will be missed by son, Chad (Caryn) Eicher; daughters, Patti Eicher and Jennifer Eicher; 4 grandchildren; siblings, Arleen (Bruce) Julin, Judith (Kenneth) Brauer, Frederick "Fritz" Eicher, and Raymond Eicher; nieces, nephews and many other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ernest Eicher, Jr.; in-laws, Janet Eicher and Colleen Eicher; stepbrothers, Richard (Diana) Lyman, Ken (Diane) Lyman and Gary Lyman. Gary's life will be honored with a celebration of life held at Huehns Funeral Home, 1414 Michigan St, Sturgeon Bay, on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. He will be laid to rest in Bayside Cemetery in the Town of Sevastopol beside his parents. Huehns Funeral Home, Inc. & Cremation Services in Sturgeon Bay is assisting the Eicher family. Expressions of sympathy, memories, and photos of Gary may be shared with his family through his tribute page at www.HuehnsFuneralHome.com.
