Family includes her four children, David (Mary) Nell, Joann (Mike) Romdenne, Donna (Jeff) Perlewitz, Gary (Kelly) Nell; 11 grandchildren, Carrie (Jason) Vanschoiack, Randy (Andra) Weckler, Amy (Shawn) Herkstroeter, Penny (David) Mielke, Martin (Jenny) Nell, Kelli (Jamie) Spitzer, Jami (Corie) Zimmerman, Erin (Michael) Shortall, Jason (Angela) Perlewitz, Dayna (Andrew) Pekarek, Kory (Katie) Nell; 29 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Wilfred Boldt and Harold Nell; and many dear nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, Arwed and Dora Serrahn; husband, Wilbert Nell; daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Duane Struck; great-grandson, Derek Leischow; and sister, Carol Boldt. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, 406 4th Street, Algoma, WI 54201 with Pastor John Moll and Pastor Joel McKenney officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the church Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. “Special thank you to her granddaughter, Kelli, for the love and dedication she gave to grandma. And thank you to Jenny and the amazing staff at Autumn's Journey and the staff at Unity Hospice. Your loving care will never be forgotten.” Arrangements have been entrusted with Schinderle Funeral Home in Algoma.
