Sandra L. Hilsabeck, 71, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away at her home on Tuesday evening, October 20, 2026 with her family by her side.
She was born in Milwaukee on October 13, 1955, daughter of the late Orville and Myrtle (Blahnik) Zarr. Sandra attended Algoma schools. On February 19, 1976, she married Paul Hilsabeck in Sturgeon Bay. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year. Sandra was a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed playing cards and watching horror movies.
She is survived by her husband: Paul; four children: Scot (Tiffany) Hilsabeck, David Hilsabeck, Tracy (Joey) Starr, and Michael (Sara) Hilsabeck; seven grandchildren: Koier, Ariana, Logan, Haily, Paul, Lilian and Alexys; two great-grandchildren: Miley and Ember; one sister: Dawn (Dick) Ziolecki; one sister-in-law: Donna Hilsabeck. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Orville and Myrtle Zarr; two brothers: Charlie and Richard Zarr; and two sisters-in-law: Judy Shepard and Carol Hilsabeck.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Sandra’s life will be held Sunday, November 1, 2026, at Brussels Town Park Community Center, 1366 Junction Rd, beginning at 11:00 am.
