How would you grade the affordable housing market in Door County?

There are too many NIMBY's (See Dave's comment) and too many restrictions in the zoning codes throughout the county to allow construction of affordable housing.

A vacant home tax would be beneficial for lowering real estate prices. It could fund tax cuts for year-round Wisconsinites. The county board and municipal governing bodies should make it a top priority to pass resolutions urging the state legislature to enact a vacant home tax for this purpose.

Nobody can afford it!

Even though Door County is trying to become more 'inclusive', it's really to their detriment to go in that direction.
Door County should be going in the direction of a 'Martha's Vineyard'-type of living.
In retrospect, Kewaunee County is successfully working to become more 'inclusive' and it's there where people who aren't able to become the upper-echelon should live, Kewaunee County is well on its way to be able to cater to this type of resident. Door County deserves nothing but the very best of people...money...and life...the rest belong in Kewaunee County.
Wealthy people deserve nothing but the best, allowing the 'unwashed' just cheapens the quality of life.
Kewaunee County has complained that they want 'more people'...they can have them! I want to be surrounded by *quality* people!

It would be nice to define affordable housing, as everyone has a different definition.
