Sturgeon Bay wrestlers take top honors at Papermaker Invitational

Despite injuries, the Sturgeon Bay Schooners wrestling squad started the season with some top honors at the 16-team Kimberly Papermaker Invite. Placing 1st at 182lbs was Jeremy Jorns.  Jeremy was a state qualifier last year and is now 5-0 and is looking to improve on his 44-6 season last year. In the finals, he beat Travis Reinke from Kewaunee who was also a state qualifier last season. Placing 7th was senior Peyton Hurth at 138 and Sophomore Nick West at 285. They were both 3-2 on the day. Placing 10th was Junior Tristen Beauchamp, he was 1-4 on the day Also competing today was David Condra who placed 14th.
