Spartans defeat Wrightstown, Coisman surpasses 1,000 points on WBDK

Luxemburg-Casco Spartan boys’ basketball won their fifth straight game with a 63-54 victory over the Wrightstown Tigers Tuesday night in North Eastern Conference game as Nathan Coisman eclipsed the 1,000-career point mark.

The Spartans led 26-25 at halftime in a defensive see-saw affair that had numerous lead changes.  Coisman, who needed nine points to reach the milestone, came out quickly in the second half and surpassed the 1,000-point mark with a driving layup with 13:11 left in the game.  That put the Spartans up by eight points and the Tigers were unable to overcome the deficient.

The Spartans were led by Anthony Otradovec with 16 points while Coisman and Sophomore Ryan Robillard chipped in 13 points.  L-C contained Wrightstown’s Mayson Hazaert who scored 11 points, nearly 20 points below his average of 30 points per game.

Luxemburg-Casco (3-0, 5-0 overall) will now play Fox Valley Lutheran on Friday night.  The next L-C boys game broadcast on 96.7FM WBDK will be next Thursday, January 3rd at Southern Door.  The first Spartan girls game broadcast will be Friday, December 21 at Denmark.
