Southern Door boys running away from the Packerland Conference

The Southern Door Eagles varsity boys basketball team again appears to be the class of the Packerland Conference. Their consecutive conference win streak is now the longest all-time in the conference's history and their dismantling of Sevastopol Tuesday night is a sign of more wins upcoming. The Eagles beat the Pioneers in every phase of the game en route to a 71-39 win in Institute. Ryan Claflin led all scorers with 23 points. Kyle Daoust added 13 and Derik LeCaptain scored 11 points in the win. Sevastopol was led by Brent Haberli's 11 points and Robby Pollman chipped in ten points in the loss.

Sturgeon Bay's struggles continued. A team that was expected to contend for the conference has already lost two games in the Packerland and have not yet played Southern Door. The Clippers fell to Peshtigo 62-44 Tuesday.  Carson Talbert led the Clippers with 19 points. Peshtigo got 19 points from Cade Tackman.

Gibraltar beat N.E.W. Lutheran 71-69 in Green Bay. A balanced Vikings attack kept Sam Meerstein and the Blazers off balance in the closing minutes to capture a big win for Gibraltar,

Algoma fell to Oconto 58-41 as the Wolves have had similar struggles as the Clippers have had this season.
