Payton Pluff scores 1,000 career points for Gibraltar

The Packerland Conference has another 1,000 point scorer following a Gibraltar victory over Peshtigo 54-42. Payton Pluff needed just five points to eclipse 1,000 career points as a Viking. The senior scorer didn't waste any time Thursday night either. WIth 15:49 left in the first half, Pluff joined the 1,000 point club. Only two other Gibraltar varsity girls basketball players have ever joined this elite milestone.

Makenna Ash is the school's all-time leading scorer and is the most recent to join the club. Ash finished her career with 1,177 points on varsity. Debbie Anderson-Kordon was the first Viking to eclipse 1,000 points. She finished her career with 1,048 points.

Karlee Kita was Gibraltar's leading scorer Thursday with 18 points. Abbi Sitte and Kayla Follingstad each added nine points in the win.
