Kewaunee boys looking to build on last game

The Kewaunee boys basketball team could have been feeling a lot different headed into their winter break. The last game before the break was a comeback 67-66 win over Green Bay NEW Lutheran. The Storm trailed by seven at the half but were able to come back and get over .500 overall and in Packerland play. Head Coach Luke Neitzel was very proud of how his team persevered.

The comeback was led by senior guard Alex Hewitt and junior guard Ryan Carmichael. Hewitt had 24 points while Carmichael had 22. The Storm sit at 5-4 overall and 3-2 in the conference which feels a lot better than being under that .500 mark. Kewaunee is now tied for third in the Packerland with Oconto. Coach Neitzel says that if his team can improve their defensive play they'll reach their highest potential.

Kewaunee will return from break playing and try to break their third-place tie at Oconto on January 7th, tip-off at 7:30 PM.
