It is not the bowl game experts thought the Wisconsin Badgers would be playing in at the beginning of the season, but they have a chance to still end their season with a win at the Pinstripe Bowl in New York City against the Miami Hurricanes. The Badgers entered the season ranked fourth in the AP Poll, even garnering a first-place vote in the process. A home loss to BYU and a near-.500 Big Ten slate pushed their bowl hopes to Yankee Stadium for the ninth edition of the Pinstripe Bowl. It was announced earlier this week that Jack Coan would make the start for the Badgers after Alex Hornibrook was ruled out due to a lingering concussion. Coan's fifth game of the season officially burns the redshirt the Badgers had hoped would still be available to the freshman quarterback. The Hurricanes have seen their own issues this season, opening the year in the top 10 in the polls only to post a 7-5 record as well.
The Pinstripe Bowl kicks off this afternoon at 4:15 p.m.
