Kewaunee wrestling is family affair

The Kewaunee High School wrestling coach is happy there are no nepotism rules in high school athletics. Head Coach Dan Steinhorst is coaching five of his cousins this season. In his 6th season as the head coach of Kewaunee wrestling, this is the first year that he hasn’t had one of his brothers wrestling for him. Steinhorst says he certainly doesn’t give his family any special treatment and actually may coach them harder than the rest of the team. The five cousins on the team are Logan Steinhorst, Dylan Steinhorst, Travis Reinke, Jason Reinke, and Paul Wery. Coach Steinhorst says that he’s impressed with Paul Wery’s improvement over the course of this season.

Kewaunee will return to the mat on January 3rd at home against Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol after having two weeks off for winter break.
