Sevastopol boys feeling confident after positive tournament showing

The Sevastopol Pioneers might be 1-5 in Packerland Conference play, but head coach Andy Symons is confident the team will turn things around following a positive showing at the Lena Tournament and in their first game of 2019. The team is carrying a three-game winning streak into tonight's contest with Gibraltar, with two wins coming against non-conference opponents Valley Christian and Stockbridge. The third win was a commanding 70-43 performance over Algoma for the Pioneers' first conference win of the season. Symons said the team's winning streak has fired up the boys heading into their first meeting with the Vikings.

The Pioneers are 4-6 on the season, while Gibraltar comes into tonight's game with a record of 3-4. Tonight's game will also be broadcasted live on 105.1 WSBW, with Connor Harbit and Jay Kita on the call. Pregame is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. before the 7:30 tipoff.
