A six-game winning streak will be put on the line Saturday as the Gibraltar girls basketball team takes on the Coleman Cougars of the Marinette & Oconto Conference. The Vikings have been on a roll as of late, picking up victories over Packerland Conference rivals Peshtigo and Sevastopol and claiming sole possession of third place in the conference with a 59-51 victory over Southern Door on Monday. The Cougars come into the contest with a 1-8 record and a 1-5 record in their own conference. Gibraltar head coach Josh Kropuenske said defeating Coleman will ultimately come down to how his team approaches the matchup. With games against conference leaders Kewaunee and Algoma in the future, he aslo said the team must not fall into the trap of looking ahead.
The Vikings and the Cougars will tip-off at 2:30 p.m. Gibraltar won last year's matchup 67-33.
