Roleplayers help make Sturgeon Bay a more complete team

Sarah Bridenhagen leads the Sturgeon Bay girls basketball team in scoring at almost 13 points per game, but the Clippers have also seen solid production from other members of the team who specialize in other areas of the game. Head coach Erik Tauschek said while everyone on the team has something to contribute, there have been some standouts in certain spots. One name Tauschek mentioned was Brenna Zuehlke, a 5'7" senior forward who leads the teams in rebounds per game. Zuehlke has 40 offensive rebounds this season, nearly double the amount of the second-place Bridenhagen. Tauschek said she has the right mentality to play in the post.

Another player Tauschek mentioned was Carly Wodack, a sophomore guard who leads the team in assists at 25, again doubling the amount of the next-highest individual. He said she has a natural talent for finding open teammates.

The Clippers will face some tough challenges this week, travelling to Gibraltar on Monday and then welcoming currently conference-unbeaten Kewaunee to Sturgeon Bay on Friday.
