Erik Tauschek to be recommended as next Sturgeon Bay golf coach

A Sturgeon Bay coach might be adding a couple of teams to his schedule. Erik Tauschek, the current Sturgeon Bay girls basketball coach, will be formally recommended Wednesday at the next Board of Education meeting to succeed Kyle Retzlaff as the next coach of both the girls and boys golf team. Retzlaff will be leaving the position because of time commitments involved with starting a family. Todd Meikle, the athletic director, said he loves the idea of Tauschek taking over the role as he is a coach with lots of potential.

Tauschek will have help from assistants if he is approved as the next Sturgeon Bay golf coach. A couple of golf pros in the area have already stepped forward and volunteered their services, including a former Baylor University coach who has offered to help both the boys and girls golf teams when she is in the Door County area.
