Southern Door looks to improve to 2-0 in the Packerland Conference when it hosts Peshtigo Thursday night. The Eagles are coming off a 10th place finish at the Cutler Classic in New London over the weekend, collecting podium finishes for Grant Englebert, Kyle Conard, and Griffin Slezewski. The Bulldogs counter with Nick Parrette, who won the 138-pound weight class at Peshtigo’s own tournament over the weekend. Head coach Jerry Englebert says they are focusing on confidence entering matches.
The Eagles and Bulldogs will hit the mat at 7 p.m. Tim Kowols and Greg Letter will have the call on 104.1 WRLU beginning at 4:30 p.m. with middle school matches, followed by the pre-varsity match show at 6:30 p.m.
In other Packerland Conference action, Kewaunee hosts the Eagles' next opponent Oconto for a home dual.
