Gibraltar preparing for non-conference matchup

The Gibraltar boys basketball team will soon find themselves a long way for home. On Saturday, the Vikings will travel nearly 3-hours toward the lower-middle portion of Wisconsin for a meeting with the Montello Hilltoppers. The Hilltoppers play in the Trailways - West Conference and currently sit at 2-8 on the season. Head coach Justin Burress said the long bus ride could pose a problem to the team, but would not hurt the team's mentality once the game begins.

Aside from the long bus ride, Gibraltar will certainly come into Saturday's contest with more rest. Montello will face Trailways - West Conference leader Randolph on Friday evening, before a very quick turnaround to meet the Vikings Saturday afternoon.
