The Gibraltar boys basketball team has won four out of their last six games, and a large portion of their success can be attributed to the multi-sport foundation many of its players subscribe to. Head coach Justin Burress said almost all of his players, if not all of them, play a sport in the fall, winter and spring seasons. This versatility, Burress added, helps his team excel in many areas essential to student-athletes, including areas in the classroom.

Several Vikings are award-winners in their area as well. Trevor Reinhardt, a leading scorer on the team this season, was recently named to the 2018 Wisconsin Football Coaches Association All-Region Team for his role as quarterback for the Gibraltar football team. In addition, Evan Henry was named to the All State (Honorable Mention) and Academic All State teams by the Wisconsin Cross Country Coaches Association for the 2018 Cross Country season.
