Girls basketball round-up: Door County teams lose on the road

Southern Door and Sturgeon Bay each fell on the road Thursday night in Packerland Conference action.

In Oconto, the Eagles could not keep a seven-point halftime lead as they fell 70-62 to the host Blue Devils. Grace LeGrave scored 20 points and Nicole Norton added 19 points in the loss. The deciding came at the line as the Blue Devils went to the line 26 times off of 19 Southern Door fouls compared to just eight attempts from the charity stripe for the Eagles.

In Green Bay, it was Sturgeon Bay that made a comeback in the second half but fell just short in the 52-47 loss to NEW Lutheran. Sarah Bridenhagen led the Clippers with 28 points.
Tonight, Sevastopol will host Lena at 7:30 p.m.
