Gibraltar School District searching for track coaches

A couple of spring coaching positions will need to be filled at the Gibraltar School District. At its regular meeting on Monday, January 28th, the Gibraltar Board of Education will consider the approval of a posting for the head middle school track coach. The group will also consider the approval of the employment of a new girl's head track coach. Previous middle school coach Devin Thomas stepped down due to family-related time constraints, and the previous girl's track coach Jake Danen will be resigining from his position as well. Gibraltar athletic director Peggy Tanck said the position is one of collaboration.

Whoever is chosen for the position will join boys track coach Joy Manweiler-Bastian. Names of candidates for either position are not to be revealed until after the search comes to a conclusion. Candidates for the high school girls' job were to be interviewed on Friday.
