Friday basketball round-up

There was plenty of high school basketball to be played across Door County on Friday, as teams continue to fight for the top positions within the Packerland and North Eastern Conferences.

Four Gibraltar boys reached double-digit scoring in an eventual 76-64 victory over Algoma. Trevor Reinhardt and Even Henry led the way with 17 and 16 points respectively.

Sturgeon Bay fell to Kewaunee to put the team back at .500 once again for the year in the Packerland Conference.

Sevastopol kept it close, but could not overcome Oconto en route to a 61-59 loss.

Southern Door continued its undefeated streak as well, easily handling NEW Lutheran 67-44 on the road.

In North Eastern Conference play, Luxemburg-Casco were taken down by Wrightstown 59-49.

On the girls' side, Sevastopol picked up their third win of the season in a 57-41 victory over Lena. Amber Roalkvan sunk four three-pointers on her way to a game-high 17 points for the Pioneers.
