The local competition for Council #2478, Knights of Columbus Free Throw contest was held Friday evening at the Corpus Christi gym in Sturgeon Bay. First place winners received medals. Embroidered patches and certificates were provided to all participants. Age level divisions ran from 9 to 14 years old for boys and for girls.
First place winners, boys division, were Vincent Price, Cedar Tomberlin, Levi Ullman, Caleb Plzak, and Aldo Rangel. First place winners, girls division, were Sadie Proveaux, Yarrow Goettelman, Alanna Paye, Ashlyn Delfosse and Libby Scheer. District competition is at Corpus Christi Gym, 730 West Maple St., Sturgeon Bay on Saturday morning, February 2rd, Registration at 9:30 am and competition at 10:00 sharp.
Local knights, spouses, parents, and volunteers staffed the annual event. The Knights of Columbus thank Father Carl Schmitt and the parish for the use of the gym and Tyler Jahn for helping organize the event. Congratulations to the 28 youth and their families that turned out for the fun awards and competition.
