All games played on Saturday were makeups from all the games missed due to the weather the last two weeks.
Boys:
Sturgeon Bay went to Oconto and got a tough road win 70-58. Carson Talbert led the way for the Clippers with 19 points. Sturgeon Bay will go on the road again to Sevastopol on Tuesday night at 7:30 PM. They’re now 10-7 overall and 7-5 in the Packerland Conference.
Algoma lost to Green Bay NEW Lutheran by a final of 79-39 on the road. Carter Zimmerman had nine points in defeat. The Wolves travel to Peshtigo on Tuesday night, tip-off at 7:30 PM.
Girls:
Algoma’s girls had more much more success against the Blazers at home. The Wolves put on a dominant defensive game and won 40-24. Makayla Guilette led the way with 14 points. Algoma jumped over Gibraltar and into second place in the conference with the win. They’ll host Southern Door on Monday night, tip-off at 7:15 PM.
Sevastopol was unable to get their first conference victory at Peshtigo, losing 46-33. Zoe Kuehn had another good game scoring 16 points for the Pioneers. Sevastopol heads to Gibraltar on Monday night at 7:30 PM.
